Head Coach: Bryan Drotar (5th season)
Email: bdrotar@ozarks.edu
Bryan Drotar begins his fifth season at Ozarks after leading the Lady Eagles to a program-best 8 wins in 2008. The team also tied for the most conference wins in school history with 6. The 2008 campaign saw four players earn All-Conference honors, while eight others were named Academic All-Conference. Two made the NSCAA Scholar-Athlete All-Region Team. The 2009 team had eight players on the conference’s All-Academic Team, while a pair of players were named to the All-Conference Team. His 2009 team also tied a school record for most shutouts in a season (5). The 2010 squad produced one All-Conference player and seven who made the conference All-Academic Team. Drotar's 2010 team also earned the conference's Sportsmanship Award. The 2011 squad received the NSCAA Team Academic Award for its team grade point average. It was the fourth time the program has been given the award.
Drotar, a native of Longmont, Colo., was the head women’s soccer coach at NAIA Geneva College (Pa.) from 2002-2005 where he led the team to the playoffs in 2003. Prior to his arrival, the team went 3-15-0. Drotar’s team steadily improved in each of his three seasons, with the 2003 team posting a 4-5-1 conference mark. His teams consistently played one of the toughest schedules in the region, competing against NCAA II teams on a regular basis.
He served as the assistant women’s coach at NAIA Missouri Baptist College for one season, helping the team to a 12-5-1 record in 2001. Drotar was the boy’s and girl’s head coach at Longmont High School (Colo.) and led both teams to the playoffs during his tenure. Prior to Ozarks, he was the Director of Coaching with the Pittsburgh Strikers Soccer Club and is the owner of Step Ahead Soccer, a Pittsburgh-area business that provides private and group lessons.
Drotar earned his bachelor’s degree in biblical studies from Colorado Christian University in 1996. He received his master’s degree in sports science from the United States Sports Academy in 2005. He holds an “A” License from the United States Soccer Federation and has an advanced National Diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
Drotar and his wife, Bria, are the parents of four children, Ally, Samuel, Kara and Arden.
