De Hart Biography:
Dave De Hart begins his tenth season as the head coach of the men’s soccer program. With a .669 winning percentage at Ozarks, De Hart is among the winningest active men’s soccer coaches in the NCAA. De Hart has led the Eagles to an American Southwest Conference record eight consecutive playoff tournament appearances, with five of those trips resulting in playing in the tournament championship match. In 2007 he led the Eagles to a conference season championship with a 12-2-0 conference record. He led the Eagles to the 2003 ASC tournament title and to the final 32 of the NCAA Championship Tournament that season. In 2001, De Hart was named ASC Coach of the Year after leading the Eagles to a school-best 18-3-1 record and a first-place finish in the ASC East Division during the regular season. He also garnered the conference Coach of the Year award in 2000. He has coached more than 50 All-Conference players and ten Academic All-Americans during his tenure at Ozarks. Additionally, for the fifth consecutive year, his team earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award, an honor given to those teams with a least a 3.0 grade point average.
De Hart brought more than 20 years of soccer coaching experience to the State of Arkansas and the University of the Ozarks in 1999 from the soccer rich Central Valley of Northern California. His coaching experience ranges from the youth level, including state, regional and national Olympic Development teams, to the high school level, to the college level and to the professional level. His soccer resume includes positions held as the State Director of Coaching in Nevada and Club Director of Coaching in California. He coached at the competitive level in Modesto, California for 13 seasons where he compiled over 500 victories and three Northern California State Championships. De Hart is widely regarded as one of the top coaches in the United States. Additionally, as the author of Teaching and Understanding Soccer Goalkeeping and the trainer of many excellent goalkeepers he is a confirmed outstanding and highly respected goalkeeper trainer.
In 1996 De Hart briefly left California to become the first Director of Coaching for United States Soccer of Nevada. In this position he directed all aspects of soccer in the state of Nevada, including Coaching License courses, player development curriculum, Region IV ODP and college soccer recruiting. In 1997 he returned to Modesto, California upon being named the head coach of the U.S.I.S.L. Professional Soccer Leagues’ Stanislaus Cruisers. In early 1998 De Hart was named the Goalkeeper Coach for the U.S.I.S.L. ‘A’ Leagues’ San Francisco Bay Seals.
De Hart first appeared on the college coaching scene in 1993 as the Head Men’s Coach at Modesto Junior College. In just three seasons De Hart did what has become his forte, he led the MJC Pirates to their first winning season (10 wins, 3 losses, 3 ties-.769 winning pct.) and playoff appearance in the College’s 75-year history. In 1998 he became the first men’s and women’s head soccer coach at Neosho County Community College in Kansas. In just one season his women’s team became Region VI champions and his men’s team finished as Region VI finalist. He was named Region VI Coach of the Year by his peers.
De Hart looks to provide a future, both academically and athletically to his athletes and students. He holds a masters degree in health and physical education and considers a quality education vital to the overall success of any student-athlete. De Hart has had remarkable success at each level of coaching. However, he considers his greatest accomplishments, not to be the many wins, but the many players that he has helped to develop into quality soccer players and people.

Assistant Coach: Kean Barclay (1st season)
Kean Barclay enters his first season as the men's assistant soccer coach. Barclay, of Fayetteville, Ark., was the assistant men’s coach at NCAA II Longwood University (Va.) last season. He was also the Head Coach of the Men’s Second Team at University of Abertay in Scotland from 2003-04.
Barclay earned his bachelor’s degree in physical education from Indiana University in 2006. He has a Higher National Diploma in Sport, Health and Exercise from University of Abertay. He holds a “C” License from the United States Soccer Federation.
He played collegiate soccer at both Oakton Community College (Ill.) and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. He additionally played at University of Abertay. He played professionally in Scotland for the Lochore Welfare FC and Carnoustie Panmure FC. He has been a camp instructor at University of Arkansas, Michigan State University and Old Dominion University.
